Important - Before enabling the autostart feature, ensure the Workflow is inactive and there is no incoming live video.

Step 1: Open Stream Group Editor

Click the pencil icon at the top of the Stream Group

Step 2: Click the Autostart Toggle

Step 3: Click Done

Step 4: Start streaming from the live streaming Encoder to your Switchboard Workflow.

Questions about the Autostart Feature

QUESTION: What if I've already started sending the video into my Switchboard account but forgot to add a destination to the destination group that has Autostart enabled?

Log in to your Switchboard Account and proceed with one of the methods below:

Method 1

Press Go Live next to the destination if it already exists in the current workflow.

Method 2

Add the destination to the destination group with Autostart enabled, and then press Go Live.

Once the destination is added to the destination group with Autostart enabled, it is ready to start automatically the next time you send in the live video from your encoder.

QUESTION: What if I forget to turn on the Autostart feature before sending the video to Switchboard?

No worries; you can still log into your Switchboard Account and press Go Live for the appropriate destinations.

At your live broadcast's end, ensure the encoder has stopped sending video to your Switchboard account.

Enable the Autostart feature, and you'll be ready for the next awesome broadcast!
