How to Delete a Stream Group
Keeping your Switchboard dashboard organized is the best way to ensure a fast, error-free streaming workflow. If you no longer need a specific Stream Group (for example, a past event or a retired broadcast), you can easily remove it in just a few clicks. Rest assured, this action is safe: deleting a group folder will NOT delete the individual social media destinations (like Facebook or YouTube) contained within it.

It takes two seconds to delete a stream group. You can follow the steps below to learn how.
How to Delete a Stream Group
Press the edit Stream Group button (pencil) at the top of the Stream Group.
A settings window will pop up. Scroll to the very bottom of this window.
Click the red Delete Group button.
A confirmation prompt will appear. Click to confirm the deletion.

Where did my Destinations Go?
You might be wondering what happened to the individual platforms (like Facebook, YouTube, or Custom RTMPs) that were inside the deleted group.
Because deleting a group is non-destructive, those destinations still exist! They have simply been moved back to your Destination Manager Page.
How to find them:
Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of your Switchboard dashboard.
Select Destinations from the flyout menu.
Here, you will see a complete list of active destinations linked with your Switchboard account. You can easily add them to a new group whenever you're ready.

FAQ
Q: If I delete a Stream Group, do I have to re-authorize my Facebook or YouTube accounts?
A: No. Deleting a group only removes the organizational folder from your workflow page. Your actual authorizations and connections remain active and securely saved in your Destination Manager.
Q: Can I undo deleting a Destination Group?
A: Once a group is deleted, the folder itself cannot be restored, but no data is lost. You can easily recreate the group by clicking "Add New Group" and then reselecting your saved destinations in the Destination Manager.
Q: Why should I delete old groups?
A: For teams managing multiple ongoing events (like weekly government meetings or seasonal sports), deleting old or one-off event groups keeps your dashboard clean. This reduces the risk of accidentally streaming to the wrong destination during a high-stakes broadcast.
