Connect LinkedIn with your Switchboard Account
Connecting LinkedIn to Switchboard allows you to multistream webinars, town halls, and professional updates directly to your network. To stream to a Company Page, you must first authorize your personal LinkedIn Profile as the administrator. This guide covers how to connect both personal Profiles and Organization Pages, as well as the required video specifications for a stable broadcast.

Connecting LinkedIn to your Switchboard account for the First Time.
We recommend completing the following steps before proceeding with the authorization.
Use a desktop computer to authorize the destination to your Switchboard account.
In the same browser, log in to your LinkedIn Profile before starting the authorization process.
The steps below describe how to connect a LinkedIn Profile to your Switchboard account for the first time. You should only connect to each social channel once.
You can connect your LinkedIn profile in two ways. Add it directly from a Stream Group when your workflow is open, or use the Destinations Manager Page to link multiple social platforms to your account at once. We'll walk you through both methods.
Connecting LinkedIn Profile Via the Stream Group
Step 1
Click the Add Destinations button (or skip to Step 2 when creating the first Stream Group).
Step 2
Click Connect More.
Step 3
Select LinkedIn Profile from the menu.
You'll be prompted to log in to your LinkedIn Profile.
An Authorization Modal will appear. Follow the prompts.
Complete the authorization.
Click "Close" on the Success screen.
Step 4
SUCCESS!
You'll see that the LinkedIn Profile has been successfully connected to your Switchboard account and automatically activated in the Stream Group.
Click Save & Next ( or Done) to continue, or "Connect More" to add New Destinations to your Switchboard Account.
Connecting Via the Destination Manager Page
You can link your LinkedIn destination via the Destinations manager page. We recommend this process when adding multiple social channels at once, especially if you intend to organize them into specific stream groups later.
Step 1
Select the Main Menu > Choose Destinations
Step 2
Select LinkedIn Profile from the side menu.
Step 3
Follow the prompts by logging in to your LinkedIn Profile and clicking Continue until you reach the success screen. Click Close when you reach the Success Screen.
The LinkedIn Profile has been successfully added to the Switchboard Account. But it hasn’t been added to a stream group or scheduled event. When ready, add the LinkedIn Profile to any Stream Group or Scheduled Event.
Step 4
Navigate to the Workflow. Main Menu, select Workflow.
Step 5
Click Add Destinations at the bottom of the Stream Group.
Click the toggle button next to the LinkedIn Profile to add it to the Stream Group.
Click Done.
Success! The LinkedIn Profile has been successfully added to the stream Group, along with the other social channels already added.
Going Live on LinkedIn Live
Turn on your live streaming encoder and send the video to your Switchboard Workflow.
Press the green "GO Live" button next to the LinkedIn Live destination when the video is displayed on the Switchboard confidence monitor.
Pro Tip: You can save time and eliminate the need to press 'Go Live' in Switchboard by enabling the autostart feature, as explained here: Enable the autostart feature.
Congratulations! You are now multistreaming to your LinkedIn Live profile via Switchboard Live.
Connecting a LinkedIn Page to your Switchboard account for the First Time.
✨ Note: Before connecting a LinkedIn Page, you'll need to connect a LinkedIn Profile to your Switchboard Account.
While in the Stream Group Modal, click Connect More.
This time, select LinkedIn Page from the list.
Another modal will pop open.
Your LinkedIn profile is selected by default.
Next, click the check box next to the LinkedIn Page you want to add to the group.
Click Submit.

⚠️ Critical: Video Specifications for LinkedIn
LinkedIn is stricter than Facebook or YouTube. To prevent your stream from cutting out or buffering, ensure your encoder (OBS, vMix, etc.) matches these exact settings:
Resolution: 1280 x 720 (1080p is allowed but 720p is most stable)
Keyframe: 30 fps
Key interval: 2 seconds ( 60 frames)
Audio: 48 kHz / 128 kbps
Encoding: H264 video. AAc audio
Video bitrate:3.5 Mbps
Note: Sending a 4K stream or a wrong Keyframe interval may cause LinkedIn to reject the broadcast entirely.
