Scheduled Events for Facebook & X 📅
October 14, 2026
Scheduled events now work on Facebook Pages and X the same way they've always worked on YouTube. Schedule once in Switchboard and the upcoming broadcast is created on every platform you picked.
What's New
📅 Facebook scheduled events. Add a Facebook Page to a scheduled event and Switchboard creates the upcoming live video on your Page as soon as you save. Followers can see what's coming and you can share the link ahead of time. At showtime, the stream plays on that same event, and the replay stays there when you stop.
✖️ X scheduled broadcasts. Switchboard creates the upcoming broadcast on X and posts an announcement to your timeline with your title, description and the broadcast link. If you delete the event before it starts, the announcement post is removed too.
🔁 One flow for YouTube, Facebook and X. Edit the title, time or thumbnail in Switchboard and the platform updates. Delete the event and it's removed there too. Stop the stream and the broadcast ends on the platform as well.
📊 Post-event insights. Facebook and X events now show viewer totals after the event, based on each platform's own view counts.
Improvements & Fixes
Faster go-lives. Starting a workflow is quicker.
Scheduled stop. The live timer now stops as soon as you stop a scheduled event.
Failed updates. If an update to a scheduled event fails, you'll see an error and can try again.
X View Stream. Opens the live broadcast directly.
Good to Know
Facebook scheduled events are for Facebook Pages.
A Facebook scheduled event can only go live once. If you stop mid-show, you'll need a new event to go live again.
X caches its preview cards, so after rescheduling, the original announcement post may still show the old time. The broadcast page on X shows the correct time.
